The Ailanto Spring/Summer 2019 collection is inspired by René Lalique (1860-1945). This prestigious Art Nouveau artisan replaced gemstones with stunning structural designs in glass, demonstrating his ability to elevate a humble material to the realm of luxury. In his pieces, organic elements either envelop or merge with the decorative element.

Ailanto recreates that creative universe of the master Lalique in its prints, drawing: René Lalique patented several innovative glass manufacturing processes, such as Lalique satin or opalescent glass.

At Ailanto, the satin effect is achieved with translucent organza overlays applied to the printed fabric. Opalescence is created by contrasting transparent fabrics with satin fabrics.

Ailanto focuses on the female figure; the naked body is the basis for layering semi-transparent, volatile fabrics and veiling that first reality with vegetal sinuosity.

The vegetation organically outlines the feminine forms in a vision of the Garden of Eden where birds and inflorescence invite the indulgence of the senses.
